Gurpreet and Shiv’s wedding is a perfectly planned fairly tale with lots of personalisation, outfit co-ordination, and some cool styling all planned by the couple remotely.

Both NRI couple, while working towards their dream in Sydney first met at family friends dinner by pure coincidence or one can say it was all fate. Our punjabi groom fell to the pretty Gurpreet, and worked his charm while dropping her back home after the dinner. Being the Gabru, he didn’t waste time in taking her number. After meeting at several family gathering, Shiv finally decided on sweep Gurpreet off her feet with a Rooftop proposal in New York and both knew it was time to take it forward.

Wedding Planning

[su_expand height=”110″ expand link_color=”#C7202F”]Both had their heart set on doing their wedding functions close to Gurpreet’s home in Chandigarh. But, the couple lived in Australia, groom’s family in New Zealand, and bride’s family in Chandigarh and many wedding wear vendors they wanted were in Delhi so their nri wedding planning had to be craziest. If that’s not enough already, throw in a time constraint on top of that! Luckily for them, Gurpreet’s dad shouldered the heavy work of planning.

As they say, if you know what you want, then hard part is half done. The knew they wanted wedding to be homely in Chandigarh and each function be a fun bomb. They decided the theme of the each function first. Rest all work was getting together the star vendor teams that could pull off everything at such a short time. The last thing they wanted was to find out their star makeup artist, or photographer or any other star vendor was already booked. So they first made the a short trip of 10 days to finalise the most important things book venue and other vendor team. On top, to make sure they given enough time to get their choice of colours in the wedding wear outfits they also decided them during this visit. Believe me those Insta worthy heavy designer lehengas can take months to be made. Rest of the details and personalisations were decided remotely to give unique touches and memories to every event. Engagement

The planning was done and a catchy hashtag #toorisbetterthanone was chosen. It was now time to live the fun filled night, and that is exactly what the couple did. With party boots on and lots of fun games, dances planned we are sure they made some memories for years to cherish. Bride looked the glamorous in Manish Malhotra gown and groom wore a contrasting Indo-western sherwani.

Haldi

Now, haldi ceremony is one of our favourite event in wedding. And why not, its light a mini holi with full of colours in everywhere from decors to small details. I am sure everyone would have had lots of laugh colouring the couple, and so did couple getting all soaked into haldi.

Mehendi

The mehendi was planned near pool for everyone to relax. We absolutely loved the decor and bride-grooms mehendi. Gurpreet chose to hide Shiv name in the mehendi, and Shiv choosing exactly the opposite. We specially loved the mehendi of mother choosing to have them both in her mehndi look. Pics of the amazing looks and decor says it all.

Wedding

The main wedding was also packed with many events, and special message from bride to her beloved mom-dad is a detailed not be missed by bride-to-be. In their both couple chose to enter together under phoolon ki chaddar. How cool is that!
