Weddings are already a once-in-a-lifetime special occasion but when you have a double wedding, under all calculations it becomes extra special. Anamika and Charan’s story unfolded on similar lines, as the duo tied the knots recently and vowed to be with each other through thick and thin, we got to be a part of the dreamiest wedding ever that will make the sleeping desi woman in your heart wake up and look for love.

Meeting during an office training session in Dehradun, it took over 6 months for them to initiate a conversation through a series of texts initiated by Anamika. What followed was acquaintances turning to best friends over a period of 5 to 6 years. While Charan wanted to take their friendship to the next level, Anamika was skeptical about the caste differences. But we all know what followed next and tadaa! After much convincing, the Punjabis met the Rajasthanis and the duo fixed their dates on Feb 16. Although they had to opt for an intimate wedding instead of a grand wedding owing to the ongoing pandemic, it was not an inch less dreamy.

But enough details from our end, we know that the beauty of a wedding cannot be captured in words. So we present to you, the enchanting wedding pictures of Anamika and Charan– A wedding that will be remembered for years to come.

A Quiet Lagan Ceremony

Before we dive into the dazzling ceremonies high on energy, let’s take a moment to appreciate the bride’s elegant peach saree with gotta-patti work that she picked for her lagan ceremony. After all, before a big event like a wedding that’s sure to drain the last ounce of energy, a quiet lagan ceremony with an auspicious start is what they all needed

The second ceremony was an energy-packed Mehendi ceremony where the bride flaunted a dark green lehenga with extensive embroidery in multi-hued threads and a pink sleeveless blouse with a matching dupatta. The breath-taking decor dominated by floral strands and the beautiful floral wheel is surely going on our wedding planning binder. As the bride twirled and flaunted her lehenga and her family basked in joy, the camera captured this priceless moment to save it forever.

A Floral Haldi Ceremony

Wearing yellows for Haldi is so yesterday, but our gorgeous bride here loves to make her own style statement. So for the charming morning ceremony, she picked up a floral lehenga with a splash of multiple bright colors on a creamy white lehenga, and her guests stuck to the “yellow” dress code. While the outfits indeed were flattering, what really brought the pictures to life was the energy and excitement of the moment!

A Memorable Sangeet

What is that one thing that makes a sangeet ceremony memorable? Is it the outfit? Or the food? Well, all those things are important but what really makes it special is the enthusiasm at the moment, the moment that makes you feel alive and lucky to be so. While the couple walked us through their story of how they danced to Bollywood numbers, having the time of their life till 1 am! Everything else literally took a backseat. But nevertheless, it isn’t possible that our glamorous bride Anamika won’t surprise us. Her bright mustard-hued lehenga with the extensive silver gotta-patti work is something we still haven’t been able to get over.

As you might have already guessed by now, Anamika doesn’t play by rules. So instead of opting for the usual wedding colors for her bridal lehenga, she opted for a falsa-colored lehenga with extensive golden embroidered. The groom too looked regal in his embroidered white sherwani and a falsa-hued dupatta to match with the bride. The duo together looked no less than a power couple and added extra glamour to the already glamorous night.

Here it is! The double wedding that we promised. After the Rajasthani-styled ceremony, the next half of their big day took place in a beautiful gurudwara. For this ceremony, the bride chose a baby blue lehenga and the groom looked dapper in his navy blue sherwani and baby blue dupatta. Coming to the final stop of this dreamy love story, we can vouch sure that you too got a major wedding fever right now, isn’t it?
