 “Sooksham and I wanted a palace-themed wedding and what better place than Jaipur.” Says Priya, and we think they made the best decision ever because the wedding photoshoot looks phenomenal, and makes us feels fuzzy in the stomach. We’re super excited to share the feeling with you! Before we jump to the wedding photoshoot though, let’s have a look on their amazing love story.
Priya And Saksham’s Love Story
Don’t we all dream of that classic College friends turned lovers turned husband and wife kind of love? Well here’s a lucky couple truly living that dream! Introduced by mutual friends, Priya and Sooksham became a part of an extremely warm and close-knit friends group – bunking classes, long drives, lunches, and dinners – the entire squad goals checklist. It all changed on the 16th of November 2013 when Sooksham proposed to Priya, asking her to be his wife. After 8 beautiful years together, they finally tied the knot – in the most glamorous way possible!

The Mehendi Ceremony
“We love Italy and it has been one of our favorite destinations,” says bride Priya. And so, the theme for this alluring mehndi ceremony revolved around the beauty of Italy. Priya tried to recreate the gorgeous Amalfi coast theme using all the beautiful shades of blues and yellows for the decor. She dawned a cheery and fun sage green lehenga with floral details and Sooksham wore a white kurta with a blue coat to perfectly match the theme. We definitely feel transported to the balmy breezy coast looking at these pictures!
The Grand Engagement and Sangeet
After the pleasant sunny Mehndi commenced the glamorous Engagement -cum-Sangeet night and BOY is it glamorous! About the engagement ceremony, Priya commented, “Who doesn’t like all things shiny and classy so we went with all things gold and white, with beautiful chandeliers and glitters.” Well, we’ve got to agree with you Priya, we absolutely love the glam. From the floral and fairy light decor to the smoke and fireworks, this ceremony looks straight out of a Bollywood movie, and Priya beautifully contrasts the dark night with her peach and white lehenga. Obsessed.
Haldi Ceremony
The next breezy yet warm morning welcomed the beautiful Haldi ceremony. The ceremony was decorated in classic shades of yellow, white, and gold. By using the classic and simple color palette for the Haldi, the couple and their faces brimming with joy, love and excitement become the center of attraction of the entire ceremony. The adorable haldi cover on their faces and the beautiful flower showers make up for the perfect haldi photoshoot.
The Wedding
Finally, we get to see the flamboyant and luxurious palace-themed wedding! With the contrasts of the soft yet dramatic floral decor and the glamorous fireworks, the decor is a beautiful juxtaposition of different elements which also somehow go together in perfect harmony. For the auspicial and special night, Priya dawned a luxurious maroon lehenga fit for a queen and Sooksham complimented her with a honey-colored sherwani. The couple truly looked royal in their palace-themed wedding and we are extremely thrilled to see glimpses from the start of their happily ever after.
